The EADH promotes the advancement of the education of the general public in the history of dance and the development of research in the history of dance.
Activities include:

The organisation of a bi-annual conference in rotation between the European member countries.

The publication of regular newsletters and an annual bulletin.

The promotion of the consideration and discussion of all questions affecting dance history research in co-operation with any persons or bodies having similar objects to those of the Association.
